The Sea Of Tranquilly

My favorite book of all time. So... here it goes. I just finished rereading it, so all it's still fresh. Hope you enjoy.

Just a sample of how messed up Nastya's world is:

"I live in a world without magic or miracles. A place where there are no clairvoyants or shape shifters, no angels or superhuman boys to save you. A place where people die and music disintegrates and things suck. I am pressed so had against the earth by the weight of reality that some days I wonder how am I still able to lift my feet to walk." (p. 36.)

Okey, the reason I find this book amazing is because I relate so much to it. It's spelling my life out. And I think reading is about this. Reading yourself in others.
The story overall is about a teenage girl named Nastya, who just moved to a new town with her aunt and is starting in a new school. She is a strange persona. Always dressing in black revealing cloths and wearing LOTS of make up. But strange starts when you discover she's a self-declared mute. She stopped talking after the accident. We know little about it, but it's something that broke her. Emotionally and fiscally. And it hurts her deeply. She is haunted by her past. And she can't run from it. She tries, but she can't. And thats when Josh comes in. He is all alone, everyone he loves died. And he is as sacred of coming close to anyone and letting them hurt him. But there's this funny character that ties the whole story together. His name is Drew Leighton. He is the popular guy, and he really enjoys tormenting Nastya. He is annoying and disrespectful. So we hate him at the beginning. But then Nastya gets to know him, and so do we. And we realize he is a really deep, really emotional person. And he lost someone and that why he became such an a**hole.
I don't want to spoil the best parts, so I'll keep it short.

Nastya is so lost. She doesn't know who she is anymore. She is just broken, hurt, and sacred. As you can see in this quote, she is aware of that, which is strange. Most of the time we know we are lost, but not to this degree. "He's looking for the truth of me. I wonder if he'll find it, and it he does, maybe he can show me where it is again." (p. 161.)

I always find it interesting when love blossoms between to broken characters. This is one my favorite parts of the romance: "She tilts her chin toward the cutting board in front of me. "I think you chopped those into submission." I glance down to the red peppers I've annihilated while listening to her talk. "Not my fault that you're distractingly pretty.""
They are both cute and uncomfortable with everyone but them. That I love the most.

Hush, Hush.

I LOVED this book. I was kinda... skeptical going into it because of it being a chick flick in book-form. But I loved it.
Nora is a 16 year old whose father was murdered a year before everything starts. She lives outside town with her mother who travels a lot. Her best friend's name is Vee, and she ir really funny (at the beginning, at the end I hated her). Everything is "normal" and then she meets Patch.
A hot, dark, dangerous guy who know exactly what she is thinking all the time.
Attacks start to happen and her world is upside down again.
I loved this book. A page turner. Specially I love Patch. Who is witty: (in the middle of Biology class) "The blood vessels in Nora's face are widening and her skin is warming," Patch said. "She knows she's being evaluated. She likes the attention, but she's not sure how to handle it." (P: 37.)
Even I blushed with this.
Things start to get out of control. Things start happening. Things disappear. And they blame Patch:
"I know you don't want to hear this. But the more I think about it, the more similarities I find between Patch and my attacker." (P:162.)
But... the love story is amazing. There is this dark attraction between them. I love it. "On a scale of on e to ten, that terrified me about an eight. And exited me about a nine." (P:284.)
Amazing book. Amazing plot. Amazing.
Just finished it!
6/5

Favorite Quotes.

Is there anything more truthful than this? We can all be broken, but we can all be fixed too.

Amazing way to love someone. Loving him more and more everyday, and having the chance to SEE how you grow together. This quote for me is the base of Tris and Four's relationship.

I can just say: "Maybe this is why the best people leave us too soon."

I can´t help but love quotes that mean something.

Allegiant.

This is the third and last book in Veronica Roth’s trilogy Divergent. It’s a good book, action packed and interesting. I would recommend finishing the trilogy with this fast paced novel, but it might involve tears.
I liked the way it was written. For it’s the same as every book in this trilogy. I enjoyed the way it started, but by 200 pages I was kind of lost. Everything you got used to in the previews books is destroyed in this one. Full of anew people and new missions.
I didn’t enjoy that I found it a bit forced. The ending was stretched and it didn’t seem natural. And truthfully, Tobias POV was so week I couldn’t understand why he was such a hero. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan on hero-weekness relations, for they seem stronger to me. But with Tobias it just wasn't the case, I just felt like I was reading Tris. The difference wasn't clear. But Tris from Tobias POV was amazing. I´m a huge fan of romantic gestures, and in this book there are none. I love the way their relationship is based in needing each other, in being someone to lean to.
Over all ****/*****.

I do recommend reading it, but be aware, you might cry.

To enjoy this read you'll need:
-An open mind.
-Basic knowledge about the Divergent world.
-A tissue box.
-Disposition to eliminate or modifie some characters.
-Cup of tea (or coffee, but tea is just better).
-Blanket.
-Rain (optional).

ENJOY.
